The tapering rectangular body enameled in red on a guilloche sunburst ground with borders of white and green, one side mounted with an enamel Duke's coronet, the other with initial B in diamonds, both on hairs and under glass, the cover with cartouches to either side reading SOUVENIR and D'AMITIE', the interior fitted with a gold-capped pencil, apparently unmarked
