The cover enameled with the Royal arms of Bavaria within a ring of sapphires, the back enameled with a spray of flowers within a ring of diamonds, both with blue enamel borders, the suspension ring modeled as a knotted branch, with white enamel dial with black Roman numbers and black metal hands, marked inside of cover 18K and numbered 62947 / 23, the back internal cover marked ANCRE LIGNE DROITE Spiral Breguet 15 RUBIS Remontoir au Pendant N62947 BALANCIER COMPENSE
278 in. (7.3 cm.) long, over suspension ring
The arms are those of the Kings of Bavaria. The design suggest it was probably for King Ludwig II (1845-1886) also called the Swan King or the Fairy Tale King, who ruled from 1864 to 1886.
