The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Good overall condition. With scattered age and construction cracks, and with general overall marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs consistent with age and use. The marble in good condition with the expected light scratches and scuffs, typical of use. Generally, the marquetry and veneers overall with scattered fraying, lifting, and minor cracks with minor areas of losses and signs of infill and restorations. Scattered areas of minor 'cloudiness' at the veneers. The ormolu overall with some minor surface scratches, slight casting inconsistencies, light oxidation and rubbing, as to be expected; the gallery has not been possible to remove for inspection. Overall structurally sound, ready to place, good overall condition.
