The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In good overall condition. The rim of the vase cut down in the mounting process, in the late 18th century; some fill, putty or old glue, now somewhat yellowed, is visible around the cut-down rim, joining it to the mount. The porcelain otherwise in good overall condition with no apparent repairs or restoration; with the expected minor imperfections, in the making, including scattered kiln specks. With scattered minor scratches, rubbing and wear to the surface, consistent with age and handling, and scattered small flakes to the painting, mainly at the blues. The ormolu with some minor surface scratches, slight casting inconsistencies, light oxidation and rubbing, as to be expected. The rubbing most apparent at the rim, where the metal is of a somewhat darker tone in areas. Overall good condition, ready to place.
