The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In good overall condition. With scattered age and construction cracks, and with general overall marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs consistent with age and use. The marquetry probably later, as stated in the cataloguing. The veneers overall with scattered fraying, lifting, and cracks, with some areas of losses, infill and restorations; a loss at the divider between the two upper drawers, and repair over a vertical crack along the length of the proper left front leg. Overall with evidence of minor previous woodworm, now inactive. The ormolu with some minor surface scratches, slight casting inconsistencies, light oxidation and rubbing, as to be expected. The upper (fitted) drawer is lacking writing implements. Overall good condition, ready to place. With one key.
