The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In generally good condition
Bowl: nick to footrim at one end and with associate fritting, the interior at that end with a large leaf sprig covering firing faults – no crack but a rough texture; an L-shaped firing crack to the interior of the basin at the other end.
Cover: notched – staining to the flange and underside of the rim. Looped branch handle broken, restuck, lightly overpainted and with an associated edge chip
Stand: Stacking wear and wear from the bowl rubbing on the surface.
