The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The porcelain with typical small chips, losses and restorations to the applied foliage and flowers, including to the finial; the group with a crack running from the base up across the female figure’s lap, through the rockwork and to the other side, where it branches into two and extends to the base below the putto in teal and the putto in purple; the nude with old restoration to her right foot, her left hand a plaster replacement; the cover with a short crack running from one piercing to the rim; some small firing lines and imperfections in the making; some glue around the edge of the porcelain where it meets the ormolu base. No chromium was found in the green during XRF testing. The ormolu with some minor surface scratches, slight casting inconsistencies, light oxidation and rubbing, as to be expected; slight verdigris inside the rim-mount, not extensive.
