The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In good overall condition. The porcelain with the expected minor imperfections, in the making, including scattered kiln specks; generally with scattered minor scratches, rubbing and wear to the surfaces, consistent with age and handling; one with a minor chip to its rim, concealed by the mount and not visible when the cover is placed. The ormolu with some minor surface scratches, slight casting inconsistencies, light oxidation and rubbing, as to be expected. The chains all appear to be original. There is some more pronounced rubbing to the gilding at the bases, and the spreading section of one finial. Overall good condition, ready to place.
