The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In good overall condition, structurally sound and ready to install. As stated in the cataloguing, the consoles are composed of 18th-century elements. Overall with scattered age and construction cracks, and with general overall marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs consistent with age and use. Regilt, and with scattered chips, losses to carving and gilt surfaces revealing gesso, bole and bare wood in areas as to be expected with age. Overall with evidence of minor previous woodworm, now inactive. Both back rails reinforced at their upper edges. The marbles are each extended at the back edge, otherwise in good condition, with light scratches throughout and some chips and 'nibbles', mainly at edges, consistent with use and handling. Ready to install.
