The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Some light surface wear and scratches; light wear to the enamels and gilding; scattered chips, some with touch-ups, mainly to the underside of the rims, the old overpaint to the touch-ups now yellowed; one of the larger chargers cracked in half and with old staple repairs to the reverse; another with a short hairline crack (3 in. approx.) to the center; two of the smaller chargers with a hairline extending from the rim (approx. 2 in.) as well as numerous restored chips to the underside of the rims; one smaller charger with a 1 in. glaze line to the rim (does not go through); one smaller charger with a 5 in. hairline crack to the center, the underside with stabilizing staples; one smaller charger with a 1 in. rim line with stabilizing staples to the underside.
