The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Some light scratches and wear to the gilding; a few tiny flakes to the enamels; the cover of the coffeepot in half and restuck, with old yellowed overpaint to the interior, now crumbling, with slightly yellowing overpaint to the spout, handle and legs; the cover of the milk-jug with numerous rim chips and a loss to the stem of the lemon, the handle of jug restuck with old glue.
