Moonlit landscape

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Oil on canvas. The canvas is unlined, there is a small patch visible on the reverse, relating to a small hooked tear in the canvas, measuring 1 x 3 cm. The retouching has slightly discoloured and is visible with the naked eye. There is a small horizontal scuff mark visible in the upper right corner. Otherwise, the paint layer is in excellent condition and the paint layer is secure.

Examination under UV light shows very minimal retouching to the aforementioned damage to the canvas and in a few other places.

Overall the painting appears to be in good condition.
