As is typical of this type and age of lacquer cabinet, there is old wear overall including surface and inlay losses, chips, dents and some cracks. There are associated areas of restoration. Some of the decoration to the top and front has been later japanned. The copper fittings are most likely replaced as is in the interior lock mechanism. The drop front has a horizontal crack with associated restoration and touching-in of lacquer. The stand has old wear overall consistent with age and use.
