The tall, slender, slightly oviform vase decorated in various coloured enamels and gilt on underglaze blue with two kidney-shaped panels depicting landscapes and eight panels in shape of tanzaku [poem slips] with peonies, plum and bamboo, wisteria, grapes and squirrels, the neck and shoulder with scrolling foliage, the foot and neck rim with a band of chrysanthemum heads and foliage
