Edo period (late 17th - early 18th century)
Oviform, decorated in iron-red and gilt on underglaze blue with blossoming peonies, chrysanthemums and foliage below a band of blossoming cherry blossoms and butterflies in flight, the covers with similar patterns with cherry blossoms and butterflies, with shishi [lion dog] finials
Each 32.5cm. high incl. cover

Provenance
The Kinross House collection, which had been possibly acquired by George Graham (1730-1801) or Thomas Graham (1752-1819) and by descent.
