Each of oviform body with cylindrical neck painted in various coloured enamels and gilt, the front and the back similarly decorated with a courtesan and a young attendant beneath a parasol by a stream, surrounded by chrysanthemums and cherry blossoms with ho-o birds below scrolling clouds, the shoulder with a wide band containing birds, autumn flowers and foliage in a stream divided by three motifs of stylised flower and kikko, the neck with chrysanthemum, butterflies and scrolling karakusa, the foot with stylised flowerheads and scrolling foliage
