The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
There is some wear and surface marks around the hinges consistent with age and use. As is typical of this type of folding screens, there are small tears and some staining to each panel, with some associated restorations and touching-in of pigments and gold leaf. One panel has several worm eaten areas.
Both backing papers are in good condition with very minor wear around the hinges.
