The first rectangular box with rounded corners and hinged cover, decorated in black lacquer overall inlaid in variously-sized pieces of cut shell with two quail amongst millet and chrysanthemum, the sides with sprays of cherry blossom

The second rectangular box with hinged cover, decorated in black lacquer overall inlaid in variously-sized pieces of cut shell with a cockerel and hen amongst flowers and grasses
13 x 7.5 x 1.9cm. and 13.2 x 7.1 x 1.6cm. respectively
