Decorated in gold, silver, red, black, yellow and blue hiramaki-e [low relief lacquer] and takamaki-e [high relief lacquer], nashiji [sprinkled gold lacquer] and kirikane [cut out pieces of gold leaf] with Portuguese traders and Jesuit missionaries, nashiji interiors and risers, fundame [dull gold lacquer ground] rims
