Each decorated in iron-red and gilt on underglaze blue with two shaped panels depicting Chinese style flowers and foliage, divided by two small overlapping panels depicting stylised flowers and ho-o birds, against a geometric pattern, all beneath lappets of flowers and a border of flowerheads and scrolling foliage to the mouth rim, the foot with a similar border above a band of geometric design around the footrim, the interior of the mouth with sprays of chrysanthemum, peony and plum
