The rectangular inkwell box with hinged cover on four gilt feet, the box and cover covered in black lacquer, the cover applied with a pierced gilt copper panel with flowers and foliage, the front, left and right sides applied with pierced plates of a bird amongst wave, the cover opening to reveal three silvered reservoirs

The rectangular writing box with hinged cover and a shallow drawer to the base, inlaid in mother-of-pearl against black lacquer, the cover depicting two ho-o birds amongst flower sprays, the sides with similar sprays of various flowers, the cover opening to reveal three compartments, the interior black lacquer, silvered copper fittings and handle

The rectangular box with hinged cover, inlaid in mother-of-pearl against black lacquer, the cover depicting a landscape of pavilions, trees rocks, mountains and water, the sides with flower sprays, the cover opening to reveal two horizontal compartments lined in green velvet, gilt copper keyplate
