Meiji period (late 19th century), signed Kyoto Namikawa (Workshop of Namikawa Yasuyuki; 1845-1927)
The bulbous jar decorated in polychrome enamels and gold and silver wires with panels of beige, brown, speckled green and orange designed with scattered roundels of flowers and butterflies, the lid and shoulder with a floret pattern and the foot with a band of stylized lotus petals on a dark blue ground, the lid set with a gilt-copper chrysanthemum finial, signature on a silver tablet mounted on base; gilt rims
