Meiji period (late 19th century), each signed Miyao (workshop of Miyao Eisuke) and sealed Ei
The first cast as a young woman wearing a straw hat and playing a shamisen; the second cast as a man holding a square footed tray and singing; both designed in two colors of bronze and gilt; each signature on reverse
The first: 8½in. (21.6cm.) high with stand
The second: 7½in. (19.1cm.) high with stand (2)
