The tokkuri signed Hotoda zo Kashida, the pair of vases signed Satsuma yaki Satsuma no kuni Ijuin Naeshirogawa Kessengyoku, Meiji period (late 19th century)
All decorated in various coloured enamels and gilt on a crackled cream ground

A tokkuri of square form, each face alternately decorated with maple leaves floating on water and autumn flowers of kikyo [Chinese bellflower] and hagi [bush clover], between stylised panels enclosing shippo patterns, the shoulder similarly decorated with further maple leaves, the signature in a gourd cartouche

A vase of cylindrical form with a short neck, one side with bamboo and flowers and the other with chrysanthemum and autumns grasses, the shoulder with a band of flowerheads and karakusa, borders with geometrical design around the neck and foot, the base with worn signature below a blue enamel Shimazu crest

A koro of globular form raised on three short feet, with stylised flowers and foliage, pierced metal cover decorated with chrysanthemums and leaves

Another koro of globular form raised on three high feet, with bands of lappets enclosing stylised flowers, floral and various bands and geometric designs, each foot with kiku seigaiha [chrysanthemum wave design], pierced metal cover

A pair of Imperial style Satsuma vases, each decorated with chrysanthemums, bamboo and plum issuing from fences, all below an irregular design of chrysanthemums on water, a band of lappets to the foot
16cm. high (tokkuri), 14.5cm. high (vase), 8.5cm. high (koro with short feet), 10.5cm. high (koro with high feet), each 18.5cm. high (pair of vases)
