A Hirado Ewer with Dragon Spout
Meiji period (late 19th century)
Of double gourd form with a moulded dragon forming the spout and handle, painted in underglaze blue with a sage and a tiger before bamboo beside a river on one side and further bamboo issuing from rockwork on the other, the cover and finial in the form of a sixteen-petal chrysanthemum
22cm. high
