A Pale-Celadon Teapot and a Hirado Bowl
The bowl sealed Kojaku, Meiji period (late 19th-early 20th century)
The teapot of rectangular form, applied with angular spout and handle, the sides in low and high relief with rectangular cartouches, one enclosing a flying dragon amongst scrolling clouds above tempestuous waves, the other enclosing a ho-o bird and peony, the rim decorated in iron red and gilt with a band of geometric pattern, the stepped cover with a stylised bud finial

A shallow bowl in the form of a bamboo woven basket, decorated in a glaze with a slightly greenish tinge
18.7cm. high (teapot and cover), 21.2cm. wide (bowl)
