A Three-Piece Bronze Garniture
Signed Junri, Taisho period (20th century)
Comprising an incense burner and two vases; the incense burner of rhomboid form with two everted handles, supported on four feet, a pierced cover applied with a karashishi [lion dog] with his paw on a tama [ball], a matching rhomboid base with pierced geometric design, flanked by two vases also in rhomboid form with narrower necks and feet, all decorated in archaic Chinese style and inlaid in coloured metals with scenes depicting Chinese figures, Chinese style characters to the corners
