Two Bronze Vases and Two Pairs of Bronze Vases
Signed Kaneyoshi (first), Nogawa mark and Sukemitsu (second), Hidekuni (third) and Iida sei (fourth), Meiji period (late 19th century)
The first, a pair of vases, each incised and inlaid in silver, copper and gilt with long-tailed chickens in blossoming plum branches
The second, a vase inlaid in silver, patinated silver and gilt with an egret perched in a plum branch
The third, a pair of vases, each engraved and inlaid in copper and gilt with a Torii gate and temple among pine trees
The fourth, a vase inlaid in silver, copper and gilt with red capped cranes amongst the reeds
Each 18.5cm. high (first), 16.5cm. (second), each 15cm. high (third), 10cm. high (fourth)
