A group of four surimono prints of Danjuro
Woodblock print surimono, from a series of prints of the actors Ichikawa Danjuro, circa 1830s, inscribed Kiwame Shichidaime Sanjo(authenticated by Sanjo VII [Danjuro VII]), comprising:
‌1) Genso Saigyu Danjuro (The First Danjuro, Saigyu), inscribed Ko Toyokuni hitsu
‌2) Yondaime Kiba Danjuro (The Fourth Danjuro, Kiba), inscribed Ko Toyokuni hitsu
‌3) Godaime Mukojima Oyadama Danjuro (The Fifth Danjuro, Leader of Mukojima), inscribed Ko Toyokuni hitsu
‌4) Hachidaime kao miseya kyodai narabe Soga shitaku (The Eighth Danjuro, showing the face, the brothers in Soga style as a pair), signed Nidaime Toyokuni ga (By Toyokuni II)
