The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

1. Good impression and colour. Each sheet slightly trimmed and with minor soiling. Minute wormholes.
2. Good impression and colour. Slight toning and soiling. Slight trimming and wormage at one edge of each sheet. Slight wear to paper edges with minute losses.
3. Good impression and colour. Each sheet slightly toned, rubbed and soiled. Light creasing and the right sheet with a small hole near the centre. Middle and left sheets with large U-shaped tear restored to the centre of each sheet, with some losses and in-filling. Slight wear to paper edges of each sheet with small losses to corners.
4. Good impression and colour. Some light soiling and rubbing. Right sheet - paper thin in places. Left and middle sheets with some backing. Minor wear to paper edges with a few small losses. Slight toning.
