A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In fairly good country house condition overall. With the inevitable knocks, marks, losses, scratches and shrinkage cracks, consistent with age and use. The covering in fair condition but with repairs, tears, scratches, scuffs and marks throughout. Some larger tears and fraying to the outer edges and back of the chair. Some repairs in leather throughout. The seat cushion apparently replaced. The rexine to the interior rubbed and with losses overall. The castors repositioned or replaced and with evidence of screw holes for others. Highly decorative and structurally secure.
