Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In overall fairly good condition. With the inevitable knocks, marks, losses, scratches and shrinkage cracks, consistent with age and use. The upholstery in good condition but with some dirt, dust and marked staining, as to be expected. The legs rather scuffed overall. The stretchers slightly loose in their joints and would benefit from securing. Evidence of some historic, but apparently inactive woodworm to the rails and some associated timber losses. Formerly with castors. Both structurally secure and ready to use.
