The first vase has had its inner base (within the foot rim) drilled and removed, and replaced with a later metal disc. Residue of adhesive remains around the disc. There are three hairline cracks from the base into the lower foot. There is a glaze flaw to the edge of the foot with some associated glaze crazing. The neck rim with some glaze pitting.
The second vase has been extensively broken in the upper section and flared rim which has been repaired. Some open chips remain and the adhesive is missing in places. Small drill holes in this area indicate that the repair was once done with staples which have now been removed.
