Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In overall fairly good country house condition. With the inevitable knocks, marks, losses, scatches and shrinkage cracks, consistent with age and use. The galleried marble top in poor condition and has been reattached historically - the back right exterior edge with cemented repair. The left hand edge now loose and with losses. This edge requires securing. The right hand edge with hairline break to marble. The interior of drawers dirty and with staining and marking. The right hand drawer, as stated stamped for Heal and Son. This drawer with shrinkage splits to the drawer lining. The legs rather scuffed overall. Otherwise structurally secure and ready to use.
