These rare and highly collectible hair accessories were designed by Angela Cummings and produced by Tiffany & Co. between 1977 and 1980. Inspired by the ancient Damascene technique of inlaying precious metals into an iron base, this series was featured in the 1977-1978 and 1978-1979 Tiffany & Co. Blue Book catalogs. For the series, Angela Cummings used 24 karat gold embossed into black lacquered iron, creating a stunning visual effect.
