The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

-Overall condition: good. Shows normal signs of wear, including abrasion marks and traces of tarnish. Evidence of solder to the reverse. Fitted with secure clasp.
-The movement is ticking at the time of cataloguing and all functions are working; however, a service is recommended. Christie’s does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
-Sapphires: with typical inclusions, some surface reaching. Two sapphires with prominent cavities on the crown.
-Emeralds: with typical inclusions, several surface reaching, some more prominent. One emerald with visible chip to the girdle.
-Rubies: with typical inclusions, some surface reaching and a few chips to the girdles.
-Diamonds: bright and lively.
