This Cartier necklace belt is an iconic and versatile accessory and has been referred to as the “Jackie O” necklace belt. Designed circa 1970, it is comprised of textured gold-plated silver discs in a brutalist style. It was popularized by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis when she was seen wearing the belt on the Island of Capri. A similar version was owned by Elizabeth Taylor and sold at Christie’s in December of 2011 for $52,000.
