Details
Old- and single-cut diamonds, gold and platinum (French import marks), 1930s

Size/Dimensions: 1.8 cm
Gross Weight: 12.4 grams

As well as Lot 517 these earrings reflect the striking Modernist designs produced by the great Parisian jewellers. Although unsigned they are reminiscent of jewellers who spearheaded the Art Deco movement in France such as Dusausoy, Jean Fouquet and Raymond Templier.

In typical avant-garde style, precious metals and diamonds are employed whilst retaining an industrial look, in a monochrome palette characteristic of much of the jewellery produced in the 1930s.
