The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
- Overall condition: good. Some scratches consistent with use and age. Pin mechanism secure.
- Additional marks: maker’s mark for Georges Fouquet, French platinum assay mark (dog’s head, partially erased) on the side of the diamond collet adjoining the pin
- Lapis lazuli: with typical inclusions, some small, tiny polishing lines/scratches visible under 10x magnification
- Onyx sections with small chips to corners only really noticeable under 10x magnification
- Diamonds: bright and lively.
- Reverse with normal surface wear, tiny scratches and nicks
