Christie’s is honoured to present for sale these impressive Graff diamond ‘Waterfall’ earrings on behalf of J.K. Rowling to benefit her children’s charity Lumos, alongside a signed edition of J.K. Rowling’s 2021 bestseller The Christmas Pig and a sealed personal message from the author to the successful buyer.

Lumos is an international charity fighting for every child’s right to a family by transforming care systems around the world.

Founded by J.K. Rowling in 2005 and named after the light giving spell in Harry Potter, Lumos sheds light on the root causes of family separation — poverty, conflict and discrimination — and demonstrates that children can safely be united with families. Its mission is to ensure that no child is forgotten and all children grow up in a safe and loving family.

So much of Lumos’s work has been in Eastern Europe and the Charity is currently working extensively in Ukraine helping the thousands of children trapped in orphanages there, unable to leave due to disability or lack of available family care.
