John Baring, 2nd Lord Revelstoke (1863-1929) was an important British financier who was a senior partner at his family firm Barings Bank as well as the director of the Bank of England (1898-1929). Lord Revelstoke was actively involved in financing the allied governments during the First World War and served as the minister-plenipotentiary and deputy head of the British mission to the allied conference at Petrograd in 1917. He was also frequent buyer at the Fabergé London branch.
