The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition good. Signs of wear commensurate with age. Some small areas of tarnish. Later bolt ring clasp secure.
- Additional marks: French import marks for gold, partial maker's mark (by the clasp) 'S' possibly for Georges Le Saché.
- Pearl: of silver white body colour, baroque-shaped, medium lustre, with small indentations and pits.
- Rubies: with typical natural inclusions, some surface reaching, with small chips and abrasion to facet edges.
- Sapphires: with typical natural inclusions, some surface reaching, with small chips and abrasion to facet edges.
- Diamonds: total weight approximately 5.00 - 6.00 carats.
