- Overall condition good. Some small scratches to the metal throughout, consistent with normal wear. Evidence of solder. With clip fittings and possibly later added post fittings. Mechanism with good tension, the post fittings slightly stiff.
- Additional marks: one earring clip with maker's mark 'JC', Pt, indistinct rubbed number; the other with partial indistinct maker's mark 'JC' and faint indistinct signature 'tier'.
- Diamonds: total weight approximately 5.50 - 6.00 carats, assessed to be on average H to I colour, VS to SI clarity.
- Cultured pearls: measure approximately 12.60 mm, of white to cream body colour, with green overtones, oval, drilled, some small blemishes. Also accompanied by The Gem Testing Laboratory of Great Britain, 1996, report no. 1228196: two cultured pearls.
