The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition good. Some scratches to the metal, consistent with normal wear. Evidence of solder, small area of solder/tarnish visible to the front of one earring. With later post fittings.
- Probably converted from early 20th century dress studs.
- Metal unsigned.
- Rubies: with typical inclusions, a few surface reaching, one ruby with a chip to the table facet.
- Diamonds: principal diamonds each weigh approximately 0.30 carat, assessed to be J to K colour, SI clarity, total weight approximately 1.00 carat.
