The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

-Overall condition: good. Wear commensurate with age including some abrasions. Fitted with a single pinstem, which may be of later addition. Extant fittings at the reverse indicate the brooch may have been a pendant or other type of jewel originally.
-Additional marks: 950, partially obscured maker's mark (EB).
-Emerald: (AGL), with typical inclusions, some surface reaching, including one hairline facture.
-Diamonds: H to I color, VS to SI clarity.
