The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

-Overall condition: fair to good. Shows signs of wear commensurate with age including abrasions and nicks to the metal. Few areas with evidence of soldering to the metal. Eye-visible loss to the enamel. Largest carved sapphire example slightly loose. Fitted with a single pinstem at reverse.
-Sapphires and rubies: of decorative quality. With typical inclusions, many surface reaching, and eye-visible surface abrasions. Largest carved sapphire example slightly loose.
-Enamel: with surface abrasions and chips. Some areas with eye-visible loss predominantly to each end of the enameled surface, revealing the underlying metal.
-Diamonds: G to H color, VS clarity.
