Nancy Olson Livingston, retired actress of stage and screen, is best known for receiving an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in the 1950 film noir Sunset Boulevard. Her captivating portrayal in the role of Betty Schaefer catapulted Mrs. Livingston as a highly demanded actress of the 1950s. Nancy Olson eventually withdrew from Hollywood to focus on raising a family, returning on occasion to Broadway and guest appearances in film and television throughout the following decades. Primely positioned in 20th century American cultural history, Mrs. Livingston authored her own history of this era in her autobiography, A Front Row Seat: An Intimate Look at Broadway, Hollywood, and the Age of Glamour. Ms. Livingston’s collection of Cartier jewels provides a wonderful glimpse into the glamour and sophistication often associated with the Golden Age of Hollywood.
