Lot Essay

The present lot was originally gifted by Gustave Breaux Ballard (1888 - 1961), the President and CEO of Ballard & Ballard Flour Mills, to his beloved wife, Jane Fish Ballard (1892-1961). Though the bracelet is unsigned, family tradition holds that it was purchased in New York from the noted jeweler Olga Tritt. Since its acquisition, the bracelet has remained within the family for three generations and is accompanied by a case signed Olga Tritt.
