The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Sarcophagus case:
-Overall condition: good. Shows normal signs of wear including abrasions to the gold.
-Enamel: in overall good condition, with minor areas of loss.
-Turquoise: heavily abraded at the corners and with visible matrix.

Nautilus case:
-Overall condition: fair. Shows signs of wear including heavy abrasions to the gold.
-Additional marks: French maker's mark, 6088.
-Enamel: with multiple areas of wear and discoloration.
-Sapphire: of decorative quality.

Chestnut case:
-Overall condition: good. Shows normal signs of wear including abrasions to the gold.
-Additional marks: inscribed D.V.; Italian registry mark, 18K.
-Enamel: in overall good condition, with some areas of wear and loss, especially at the white tip.
