Originally designed in 1980, the same model of basket (circa 2006) is in the permanent collection of The British Museum, London, as well as the permanent collection (circa 2011) of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Designed by Elsa Peretti and retailed by Tiffany & Co., the basket was made by distinguished Japanese bamboo artist Watanabe (born 1932); the jade rings carved by Lily Creation in Hong Kong, and the gold lacquer added by Noburo Itsuaki. The bags were assembled in Kyoto by the Nakao-so Studio.
